Statistics show consumers are more likely to purchase online if they can simply pay with a credit card. Not only does it raise the likelihood of a standard purchase, but you’ll also get “impulse purchases” as well.
If you’d like to accept credit cards online, real-time, to sell products online you’ll need an Internet Merchant Account, a Gateway Processor and a Shopping Cart. PayPal is an option which provides all three (a Merchant Account, Gateway Processor and a Shopping Cart) and does NOT require your buyers to have a PayPal account to pay with their credit card.
PayPal
PayPal is quick and easy to set up; you can literally be accepting online credit card payments within minutes.

It’s recommended that you become a “verified” PayPal account holder. Successfully going through PayPal’s anti-fraud security measures and getting verified will instill more confidence in the shoppers on your site.
NOTE: To become PayPal Verified, PayPal will request your bank account information. This is part of their authentication process to help minimize fraud. Many people are not comfortable giving out their bank account information, so an alternative is to open a new checking account at your bank and only use the new bank account with your PayPal account. Then, on a regular basis, you may want to transfer your money out of your PayPal account and into your new bank account, then from your new bank account to your regular bank account.
